. . . and so were scores of other volunteers today. So many that most of us were turned away!
Occupy Sandy is a part of the InterOccupy group, “designed by Occupiers to build our collective power.” The organization is taking donations of all kinds, including volunteer time. Something that makes volunteering here so attractive, is its open approach to scheduling – just drop by whenever you can.
I’m grateful today for Occupy Sandy providing the community with an opportunity to offer seva (service), and for the many ways they’ve benefited communities in need this month.
