Unfiltered Sake Kara, Tanoshii :o)

As a special treat for painting my walls solo, I found myself a wee bottle of unfiltered sake, known in Japan as nigori nihonshu.  Oishii desu yo!

There are around 1800 sake breweries in Japan alone, and this brand here is brewed in Portland, Oregon.  Sake Guide has a pretty extensive collection of sake descriptions and if you’re interested in checking out a few fun facts on sake, Joy Of Sake has a blog dedicated to the ricey delight.

Mmmmmomokawa deliciousness after a long day of painting. And yes, that is my wall in the background!

If you wanna get really crazy, these guys seem to know a thing or two about brewing your own sake … be prepared for mold.  Yum.
